Facebook To Launch a New Messaging App for Teens

The CEO of the social media giant, Mark Zuckerburg want to launch a brand new messaging application for teens. According to tech-magazine The Information, Facebook is planning to launch a version of its messenger app only for teenagers.

According to information caught this Application is named as 'Talk'. Mark Zuckerburg, after integrating Snapchat's ephemeral videos into Facebook Stories, is planning to continues its drive to win over the adolescent audience currently using the competing platform.

Talk, an instant messaging application which would basically focus on features most used by teen users. For example games, masks, and stickers.

According to some reports, this app will reportedly allow parents to monitor and control their children's contacts to keep track of who they are talking to.

According to Some other leaked descriptions the new instant messaging app from Facebook “Talk” would not require a social network profile and would have more appealing tools for parents who could better monitor what their children share.

The buried code discovered by The Information says "Talk is a messaging app where you fully control the contacts," and "Your child uses the Talk app to chat with you in Messenger".

The app, which is called Talk, will be available for children who are 13 and above, and can be used without a Facebook account.

In a bid to keep strangers and pedophiles away, the app will not be publicly searchable.
It will also apparently allow parents to "fully control" who their children are in contact with, something older teens might not like.

So, what do you think about this new app? Comment below and share your thoughts on this.
