Google Developed a new Program that can help you fight Hackers
Now a Days Phishing, Malware, Ransomware and Hacking activities on the internet are on rise. To teach users some best practices on how to protect themselves from these type of hacking activities the search giant has just created a new program that would help young people make ‘smart decisions online’.
This program will also help kids from online trolls and hacking activities.
This program is called "Be Internet Awesome" -- includes a classroom curriculum and a video game called Interland.
"For kids to really make the most of the web, we need to provide guidance as they learn to make their own smart decisions online," Pavni Diwanji, Vice President of the Engineering for kids and families, said in a Google blogpost on Tuesday.
"With school out and summer break giving kids more time to spend on the Internet, it's a great time to introduce Be Internet Awesome: a new way to encourage digital safety and citizenship," Diwanji added.
Well, Google is calling its new educational program is for kids. However, it looks like the program could help young people learn some best practices to dodge internet safety issues.
The new program tells people about the limitations of sharing personal information with online people and it also teaches us to avoid becoming victims of scams or phishing attacks.
There are sections to create strong passwords in it, well, students interested in video game interland content can get it. This program was developed with the help of some online safety experts such as the Family Online Security Institute, Internet Safe Coalition and Connect Safely.
The program includes specific resources for children, teachers and parents, which is a great way to learn about the best safety practices for all.
"Be Internet Awesome" is Google's latest ranking in academic programs, ranging from promoting Chromebooks in the classroom to offer virtual reality field trips via Google Cardboard.
