Man Arrested For Uploading Deadpool Movie On Facebook
21 year old Pirate Trevon Morris Franklin uploaded and shared Marvel's Deadpool movie on his Facebook page. In a very short time, the post became viral.
Trevon has been accused of reproducing and distributing almost 10 copies of Deadpool, which pays around $ 2,500.
Federal prosecutors say a man was arrested in central California for allegedly uploading the Marvel film “Deadpool” to his Facebook page days after its February 2016 release.
United States Attorney's Office for California's Central District says 21-year-old Trawon Maurice Franklin was arrested on Tuesday for a federal criminal charge of copyright infringement.
The office says that a copyrighted film by Twenty-Five Century Fox Film Corporation on Franklin's Facebook page was seen more than 5 million times.
It is said that Franklin used the screen name "Tre-Von M. King" to upload the film, which was one of the highest grossing films in 2016.
And, According to the reports from Los Angeles Time, Trevon has been accused of reproducing and distributing approximately 10 copies of Deadpool which values almost $2,500.
He was charged in a one-count indictment with allegations like reproducing and distributing a copyrighted work.
